The new JC5 album Underneath The Lemon Tree will be released across all digital platforms on 5 March 2021.  This will be preceded by a single Not Near Enough on 19 February.

The album was mostly written and recorded during lockdowns (or near lockdowns) in 2020 and 2021.   It is entirely written, performed and produced by James.  A CD release is planned later in the year, date TBA.

New Brit movie Soundtrack to Sixteen – featuring music by James Clarke Five — will premiere at the London Independent Film Festival on 5 April 2019.

Two JC5 songs will feature:  Maharishi Manalishi, and Christmas is in the Air, which is a ‘festive’ reworking of Love’s Gonna Be My Game.

The new single from James Clarke Five is called Mairead.  Lyrically and musically, Mairead is set in World War One, and is a simple, beautiful ballad featuring haunting accompaniment by the Haydock Brass Band.

The JC5 album, Sexbombe Über Alles, was released on 15th April 2013.  The album is a ‘Best of’ compilation, featuring the best tracks from the first 2 albums, plus 5 new songs, including the barnstorming title track which featured memorably in the highly acclaimed documentary Last Shop Standing, which was the official film of Record Store Day 2013.
